WhatsApp to enable transfer of chat history between Apple iOS, Google Android

Facebook-owned WhatsApp on Wednesday announced a new feature that will allow users to take their WhatsApp chat history with them when they switch mobile operating systems.

The company said it would introduce the ability to move WhatsApp’s entire chat history – including voice notes, photos, and conversations – seamlessly and securely if users choose to switch chat systems. mobile operation.

“We are excited for the first time to enable people to easily and securely transfer their WhatsApp history from one operating system to another,” Sandeep Paruchuri, WhatsApp Product Manager, said in a statement.

The feature will be available for both Android and iOS platform users, which means users will be able to switch from Android to iOS and vice versa.

The company said it will start rolling out to Android first, and Samsung’s latest Galaxy smartphones unveiled on August 11.
