Prey will be free on the Epic Games Store next week
Sci-fi action game from Arkane Studios Prey will be available for free on the Epic Games Store next week, so if you haven’t played it before, there’s no excuse not to try it out.
In Prey, you wake up aboard Talos I, a space station orbiting the moon in 2032. You’re the key subject of an experiment meant to alter humanity forever – but things have gone horribly wrong. The space station has been invaded by hostile aliens and now you are being hunted. To survive you will have to use the tools found on the station, the weapons and use your abilities.
Also free next week will be jotun, the genre of isometric action game in which you have to face creatures from Norse mythology. Everything is drawn by hand, and you will have to complete different levels and defeat jotuns (bosses), as the protagonist and disgraced warrior Thora. Your main weapon is a huge axe, but you’ll quickly add a bunch of powers to your arsenal. While this is definitely an action game, the focus is more on exploration than killing enemies, but you’ll find the boss fights to be very challenging.
It also has a really cool soundtrack and authentic Icelandic voiceovers.
Available for free this week is Terraform Mars. In turn-based strategy title Terraforming Mars, corporations compete to transform the planet’s harsh environment into a habitable one. This is accomplished by expending resources and using innovative technology to raise the temperature, create a breathable atmosphere, and create oceans of water. As terraforming progresses, more and more people will immigrate from Earth to live on the planet.
As the person who controls a business, you’ll play project cards, increase production, place your towns and green spaces on the map, and race for milestones and rewards to pave the way for the new area of the world. ‘humanity.
