Noblesville is trying to start an adult baby store out of town – WISH-TV | Indianapolis News | Indiana Weather forecast

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. (WISH) – The owners of My Inner Baby received a cease and desist order from the city of Noblesville on Friday, days after the Zoning Appeals Board ruled the business violated its guidelines current zoning.

The store opened nearly two years ago on a commercial thoroughfare between Highway 37 and Herriman Boulevard.

“We are a medical supply store, we sell adult diapers and related incontinence supplies, as well as costumes for age games, as well as any type of events where people want to participate in the regression of age,” said owner Ryan Polokoff.

Polokoff said age regression is used in therapy, allowing people to step back to a time in their lives when they felt safe.

“PTSD comes into play, we have clients who are military or ex-military, who have stressful jobs, and it’s just a coping mechanism to help cope in adulthood,” Polokoff said. .

The city said My Inner Baby markets itself with the hashtag “#ABDL” – adult babies and diaper lovers – by definition it is considered a sex shop, and therefore the company violates its commercial zoning guidelines .

“ABDLs are a group of people who engage in childish role-playing games for sexual stimulation,” attorney Beth Copeland said at a zoning meeting Aug. 1.

Polokoff admits that even though some of his customers use some of his products for role-playing games, he doesn’t ask them any questions.

His company is licensed by the FDA to sell high-quality diapers to those who need them for medical purposes.

“We will fight for what is right. In short, we’re not going to be intimidated by people who want to pass on the morals that belong to them,” Polokoff said.

Polokoff said he was suing the city of Noblesville to stop them from evicting his business.

A city spokesperson said he would send News 8 a statement in response to the lawsuit, but News 8 has not yet received that statement.
