Google Store stumbles when launching Pixel 6 phone

Here are the Google Pixel 6 Pro and Pixel 6.

People looking to appropriate a new Pixel 6 Phone Tuesday encountered a lot of problems. Google’s Play Store spat a lot of errors, enough for Google to release a apologies to twitter. Apparently, many of those who have tried to make the purchase have been greeted with website crashes and out-of-stock notices.

Sorry, no Pixel 6 for you.

I have personally encountered similar issues while trying to purchase a Pixel 6 Pro through the Pixel Pass subscription service. I first received several error messages. Then the phone mysteriously disappeared from my cart because it was suddenly out of stock.

There is a good chance, however, that the demand for these handsets among Pixel buyers was rightfully high. Powered by Google’s new Tensor chip, powerful cameras as well as the debut of Android 12 make the Pixel 6 platform a huge improvement over last year’s model.

Google posted another tweet on Tuesday afternoon, saying that the the problems had been solved.
